The Christie Commission, chaired by Dr Campbell Christie, is published. The report highlights Scotland’s public services are in need of urgent and sustained reform to meet unprecedented challenges. It calls for collaborative ways of working across systems.
Our work aims to address these challenges and supports the report’s clear call for reforms to:
- Empower individuals and communities receiving public services by involving them in the design and delivery of the services they use.
- Form closer working partnership of public service providers to integrate service provision and thus improve the outcomes they achieve.
- Build a more efficient system of public services – including public, third and private sectors – by reducing duplication and sharing services wherever possible.
